Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST January 6, 2015 “He has delivered us from such a terrible death, and He will deliver us. We have put our hope in Him that He will deliver us again.” (2 Corinthians 1:10, HCSB) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia (western Africa). KHARKOV, UKRAINE (HAR-kov) - Most Ukrainians celebrate Christmas on January 7, according to the Orthodox calendar. For Ukrainian believers, this is a day to celebrate Jesus through church services and family meals, with Christ at the center. Intercede for those who are not yet believers to experience the birth of Christ in their hearts as followers of Christ invite them into their churches and homes for this time of celebration. KOLKATA, INDIA (kohl-KAH-tah) - “In November, we asked you to pray for a section of the city of Kolkata called New Town, where there is only one small church among thousands and thousands of people. That request included two city churches that were seeking to start new groups in New Town. Praise God that one of these churches will be launching a service in January in New Town! Please intercede for the church as they seek to bring the gospel to the people in this area of the city. Ask God to draw people to hear His Word.” For additional prayer requests, click here: Today’s Prayer (If you have difficulty with this link, please go to www.imb.org and click on the “Pray” tab, and then click on the “Today’s Prayer” link in the left-hand column.) |
