PRAY

Praying and planting

When Haitian pastor Ilme Frasier learned witch doctors had settled into the community, he decided to form an evangelical church there. Ilme is a church-planting student of IMB missionary Carlos Llambes, whose wife, Lily, has special insight when it comes to counseling Haitians – she had a brush with a religion similar to voodoo before becoming a Christian. Now, prayer guides their church-planting work.

California church dedicated to reach Mixteco with gospel
Valley Baptist Church persists in its long-term commitment to reach the Mixteco people in Mexico and in its own backyard. As one member notes, the Mixteco are realizing the church members are not like other people “who sometimes treat them badly” but instead show concern for them and especially want them to know God’s Word.
