Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST January 8, 2015 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2, NKJV) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for Prime Minister Adrian Hasler of Liechtenstein (central Europe, between Switzerland and Austria). GAUCHOS OF BRAZIL (gah-oo-shoo) - Team Gaucho asks: “Please join us in praying for the gathering of Brazilian Baptist pastors and lay leaders that will occur at the national convention on February 3-11. Pray for the evangelistic events scheduled for the weeks before the convention, asking that hearts will be receptive to the gospel and that when they hear Truth, the conviction of the Holy Spirit will be strong and undeniable. Please pray for protection (physical, mental and spiritual) for those who will participate in these events, and ask that many new disciples will be made because of these efforts. Pray for the leaders of the convention and for the participants, asking that they will be unified in God’s vision for making disciples throughout Brazil and to the ends of the earth. Pray that all will leave the convention fortified, encouraged, and with an even greater desire for personal holiness. Pray that Brazil will be inundated with God’s people carrying God’s Word to raise up God’s children among Brazilians, Latinos, and to the ends of the earth.” LAST FRONTIER - Workers serving among a Last Frontier people group write: “In September, we requested prayer for our visa situation. We thought things were beginning to improve, but now the agency that grants visas is giving us a hard time again and, once again, is issuing our personnel only three-month visas. There really is no rhyme or reason for the requests they are making, so it’s hard to know what to do and how to handle the situation. Please pray for us to have great wisdom and discernment in responding to their requests, and ask for us to have favor with the government. We feel like a lot of great things are happening right now, and we know that the evil one does not want the work to continue to move forward. Pray that we’ll be bold and courageous and mindful of each day that we have here.” For additional prayer requests, click here: Today’s Prayer (If you have difficulty with this link, please go to www.imb.org and click on the “Pray” tab, and then click on the “Today’s Prayer” link in the left-hand column.) |
