"Then He who sat on the throne said, 'Behold, I make all things new.'" (Revelation 21:5a, NKJV)

Hi, this is Eleanor Witcher of IMB’s prayer office, joining you in prayer for those of new faith.

John* and a believer in East Asia recently became friends. He went to their home a few times to eat supper and the family was able to share the gospel on more than one occasion.  John is very interested in Jesus and has lots of questions. But a recent text said, “I want to become a Christian and be baptized. But I am a Communist; Communist Party members must not have religious beliefs. I am confused, can you teach me?”

Workers serving a Last Frontier people group report that one has accepted Christ and his passion is growing as they read and study the Bible together regularly. They are planning his baptism to take place in the near future. He has been living outside of his homeland and will soon return, taking the love of Jesus with him.

Zeynep*, a Turkish girl who was studying in the United States, returned to Istanbul as a follower of Christ! She met a family at a pool in the States, and that family invited her to church. She continued to go each week and to study the Bible with them. It was there, she says, that she came to follow Christ. She returned to Istanbul for university study. She lives with her Muslim family and has told at least her mother about her faith. She seems hungry spiritually, and is like a child in her excitement of wanting to know more and to live a full life with Jesus.

* Please pray for Zeynep and for her walk with the Lord to grow deeper as she also presents her testimony to family and friends.

* Intercede for this new believer in the Last Frontier that he will be strong in the Spirit as he expresses his newly found faith in his homeland.

* Pray that Holy Spirit will show this believer in East Asia the best way to respond to John for his spiritual benefit, as he lives in a difficult political context.
