| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST June 13, 2014 ". . . the gospel is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes. . . ” (Romans 1:16, NKJV) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete of Tanzania (eastern Africa). AZERIS OF IRAN (ah-ZEYR-ees) - Partnerships with local believers are vital in any part of the world; in a country with very limited access to outsiders, they are essential. Pray that God will orchestrate “divine appointments” for His servants inside and outside the country to be able to make connections with one another. Pray that He will give them unity and trust so they can work together to provide the Azeris of Iran with access to the Good News. SUSU OF GUINEA (SOO-soo) - “In April, we asked you to continue praying for a young church leader who had been arrested and who had already spent six months in prison. Praise God that at the end of April, he was released! One of our team members and a local pastor had just been to see him that morning, and in the afternoon, they got word that he was free! It was such a blessing to hear him share at church that Sunday about how he had prayed throughout his trials and how God had shown Himself faithful. He asks for prayer for himself and his family as he seeks to rebuild his life. Please pray that God will continue to provide for him, and that He will strengthen the relationship between this man and his wife. Pray that he will continue to be bold to share his testimony, and that many will turn to God because of his story.” For additional prayer requests, click here: Today’s Prayer (If you have difficulty with this link, please go to www.imb.org and click on the “Pray” tab, and then click on the “Today’s Prayer” link in the left-hand column.) |
