| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST June 18, 2014 "My heart’s desire and prayer to God concerning them is for their salvation!” WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Kwesi Seleagodji Ahoomey-Zunu of Togo (western Africa). CITY OF SOUTHERN SONG, CHINA - “Thank you for your prayers! We found a great meeting place that was safe and affordable to have the discipleship class members’ ‘Spring Into New Life’ event. It was the only room that would hold that many people. Not only did the Christians share their testimonies with boldness and compassion, but they also quoted many Scripture passages and even sang John 3:16 in their native language. All the outreach guests were very moved by the true fullness and genuine love they felt. Praise the Lord that two guests accepted His salvation, and we are still doing follow-up with several others who had more questions.” TAJIKS OF AFGHANISTAN (TAH-jeeks) - Radio is still the most effective way for most Afghans to receive information. Shepherds on the hillsides will carry short-wave radios with them and listen as they watch over their sheep. People in the villages will gather around a radio and listen in a group. For close to 20 years now, Sadaye Zindagi (Sounds of Life) has been producing Christian broadcasts in the Dari language. The programs are broadcast for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. Afghans are able to listen to Scripture being read to them, teaching from the Bible, groups of Afghans gathered to model a house church, music, and answers to direct questions that callers have asked. There are reports from all across the country of people listening to these broadcasts. Please pray that Tajiks will be able to access these programs, that they will be drawn to the truth of the Gospel presented, and that the Holy Spirit will use these teachings to open the hearts of Tajiks to the hope and forgiveness offered through the Savior, Jesus Christ.
