All humanity will come to You, the One who hears prayer.” (Psalm 65:1-2, HCSB) Hi, this is Eleanor Witcher of IMB’s prayer office, asking you to pray for new believers and those who have not yet believed. Naeliya*, a 70-year-old Tatar sister living in Central Asia, has faithfully asked God for more than nine years to save others living around her. As the only known believer in this area, she strongly desired to study the Word with someone nearby. About a year ago, 17-year-old Azat* began a spiritual quest. He found the predominant religion of his community to be empty. He began looking on the Internet and became a follower of the Way. Soon after, he met Ansar*, a local believer, on the Central Asian equivalent of Facebook. Within a week, Ansar had traveled to visit and study the Word with Azat, and helped equip him to share the Gospel with his mother, Adeliya*. Azat shared with Adeliya, she repented, and--praise the Lord--there are now three believers in this area. A woman named *Saheeb has many questions about what it means to follow Jesus Christ. She and her family recently moved from a neighboring country, where it is forbidden to seek Christ. In her new location she has a little bit more freedom, and she has read through Matthew, Mark and Luke and is currently reading through John. She feels free to ask questions of believers, and her eyes light up when hearing the Truth. Despite this, she is not ready to put her faith in Jesus. She admits that she is not certain that He is enough, and she doubts that His grace is sufficient. * Please pray that God will open this Kurdish woman’s eyes to the Truth of who He is and His sufficiency in a way that she cannot deny. * Intercede for Azat and Adeliya as they begin their journey of faith, and for Naeliya as she meets with and disciples them. * Give thanks to God for His goodness in showing that He is the “One Who Hears” and is mighty to save!
