"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Umar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir of Sudan (northeastern Africa).

Prayer requests from Eddie W. Cox, director of IMB’s Office of Global Prayer Strategy, to “Today’s Prayer” intercessors:

Thank you for clicking through to “Today’s Prayer” and praying with me.

Last month, I asked you to pray for our May School of Prayer for All Nations. Please know that I deeply appreciate your having lifted the faculty and students up in prayer. God blessed in a mighty way! All praise and thanksgiving to the Father!

The following testimony from one of the student will give you an idea of what I’m talking about.

“I left refreshed, and renewed from having spent a few days with God’s people, seeking to be fully yielded to Him, and praying continually for His will in my life, my family, the church I serve, and the nations. I intend to encourage others in my circle to attend and take part in this special opportunity. It doesn’t matter if you have been a Christian for a few years or for several decades as I have. Your walk with God will be strengthened if you take part in this.

“In the week leading up to the trip to Richmond for SPAN, I thought to myself, ‘I don’t have time to take off and go do this.’ Then I sensed the Holy Spirit replying back to me, ‘You don’t have time not to go and do this.’”

Before you intercede for the following events, please lift up a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord for His blessings on the school of prayer.

June 23-28: Stateside Assignment Conference -- Pray for the 126 adult missionaries and 107 children as they come together at IMB’s International Learning Center for worship, instruction and fellowship.

May God’s blessings flow . . .

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to pray for these very important needs. Your prayers make a difference!!!

Most sincerely,

Eddie W. Cox, director
IMB’s Office of Global Prayer Strategy
