"God, hear my prayer; listen to the words of my mouth.” (Psalm 54:2, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda (eastern Africa).

LAST FRONTIER - “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15, HCSB). There are 28 people who are currently preparing themselves through a couple of different types of training to reach out to a segment of a Last Frontier people group who are living overseas. They have felt a call on their lives to make Jesus known to this specific group of people, so they are meeting with workers each week in four different groups throughout a large city. Pray that they will gain the knowledge and understanding of God’s Word that they seek in order to “correctly teach” the message of hope and truth that He has placed in them to share. Pray that they will find the ways that He is calling them to go out and, in turn, be able to equip many others to do as they are doing.

NORTHERN AFRICAN AND MIDDLE EASTERN UNENGAGED PEOPLES - Bright orange cloth with a bold floral border forms a near cocoon as it wraps around Latifa’s* body and also forms a veil for her head. Only her face and hands are visible as she walks along the beach, trying to “beat the heat” as she observes her annual pre-Ramadan fast days. Latifa, a kind woman, is striving to make it into Paradise, so she is always faithful to make up her missed fast days from the previous year and add in some extra days for potential rewards with Allah. As much as she tries to be a dutiful Muslim woman, she is never sure how much of these good works is enough. Recently she read about Someone who had taken care of all of her mistakes and could make sure that she would get into heaven. That sounded too good to be true, but she wanted to know more. In her personal prayers after her formal prayers, this upper-class White Moor woman humbled herself and asked Allah to send her someone to tell her more about this Redeemer. Who will obey the Great Commission and go to share with Latifa and make her a disciple of Jesus? Pray for a believing woman to share with her before Ramadan begins this year so that Latifa can emerge from her spiritual cocoon and soar in the freedom of new life in Jesus. (*pseudonym)
