| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST June 17, 2014 "All humanity will come to You, the One who hears prayer.” (Psalm 65:2, HCSB) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao of Timor-Leste (between Indonesia and Australia). BASOTHO OF LESOTHO AND SOUTH AFRICA (BAH-soo-too) - Months ago ’Ntate John*, a new believer, suffered a stroke. Living in a country with limited medical care, it was doubtful that he would ever walk again. Easter 2014: On the side of a mountain, in a tiny village tucked into the Maluti Mountains, ’Ntate John preached his very first sermon. His voice echoed in the mountains, “The Bible says Jesus Christ is not dead! He is alive!” Standing on his own two feet, smiling, full of hope, forgiven of his sins . . . praise the Lord that ’Ntate John is telling the Story, over and over again! (*pseudonym) EUROPEAN PEOPLES - Missionary kids (MKs) are missionaries just like their mothers and fathers. They love Jesus and want the people around them, and especially their friends, to place their faith in Him. They share prayer requests that reflect their hearts’ desires: “Pray for my . . . friends to start asking questions about Jesus and to become believers” (age 14). “Pray that I will tell people about Christ” (age 8). “Please pray that we will find opportunities to share Christ . . . and that God will give us wisdom to know what to say” (age 10). “Pray that I and my family get an opportunity to talk about Jesus more” (age 7). “Pray for my friends and that they will come closer to God” (age 10). As you pray for the adults in the European peoples affinity group to have opportunities to share their faith, please also remember their children, as they, too, seek to spread the Good News. Please join in lifting up these simple and sincere requests from the hearts of our European peoples affinity group MKs.
