"Let the peoples praise you, God; let all the peoples praise you.” (Psalm 67:5, NKJV)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Yinglak Chinnawat of Thailand (southeastern Asia).

AMHARA OF ETHIOPIA (ahm-HAR-ah) - Between January and April, 220 cell phones and 436 SD memory cards for those phones were given out, mostly to people living in rural areas. Please pray for salvation for the Amhara people of Ethiopia who listen to the memory cards. Many cannot read, so this form of getting them God’s Word can be very effective. Each memory card contains all the chronological Bible stories, the “JESUS” film and the “Magdalena film” (they can watch these), the “Creation to Christ” Gospel story with pictures, the audio New Testament, the entire Bible written in Amharic, discipleship audio Bible stories, and 150 songs that are Scripture based and are in the Orthodox style. People with these cards can “blue tooth” (send) them to other phones. They can spread the Gospel and God’s Word to friends and family via the phone. This isn’t expected to replace face-to-face evangelism, but it is a great way to get out the Gospel and the Word of God. God can transform lives through His Word. Pray that this memory card content will be sent out to multitudes of Amhara!

AR OF COLOMBIA (ahr) - The Ar people are one of the people groups in this country that have remained the most faithful to their traditional beliefs and practices. They are very closed to the outside world and look to traditional religious leaders to give them guidance and direction. Through the years, the traditional religious leaders have forced missionaries seeking to reach the Ar people to leave. National missionaries Juan* and Diana* have been focusing on this people group for several years. They gained access to one village and lived there for a year until they were forced to leave; this family now lives in a neighboring town. Every four to six weeks, they travel to another village (“Pal” village), where Juan is sharing the Gospel story set. The people there are open to the stories as Juan is telling them. They are discovering the truths of the Gospel message and the Word of God. Recently there has been opposition and an attempt to prevent Juan and Diana from making these trips up the mountain to share the Gospel stories. The relationships they have built have kept the door open and have given them access so far. Pray that the door will remain open for them to keep traveling to this village. Pray for those hearing the stories to respond to the Gospel message in a life-changing way. (*pseudonyms)
