“They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:42, 47b, NKJV)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Desire Delano Bouterse of Suriname (northern South America).

FULANI OF WESTERN NIGER (foo-LAH-nee) - Medical needs among the Western Niger Fulani are vast. Reba*, a Western Niger Fulani girl, was brought to missionary Cherry Faile. Reba is 7 years old and has had many health problems in her short life. Six of her siblings have already died of various illnesses. Reba has sickle cell anemia and has endured numerous episodes of malaria, fallen into a well, had her dress catch on fire, and is currently battling a severe infection from a sore on her chest that has lasted for three years. Her family is certain that they are under a curse. Please pray for this family and many others like them who have no source of spiritual comfort when they face illnesses. Most Western Niger Fulani believe that the bad things that happen are God’s will and that He is far away and lacks compassion. Pray for the Western Niger Fulani Team and local Fulani believers as they minister to those who are hurting. Please also pray for little Reba, asking that she will be healed. (*pseudonym)

KHARKOV, UKRAINE (HAR-kov) - “This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’ Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:14-16, NIV). “Eastern Ukrainians, including those in the Kharkov region, have experienced great uncertainty in their lives in recent months,” writes a member of Team Kharkov. “One of the women in my English group said, ‘Who would have ever imagined that we would ever be so close to war?’ However, the uncertainty of these days also grants followers of Jesus tremendous opportunities to share the hope, love, and even joy we can experience in the midst of the storm. Most Baptist churches continue to seek to ‘make the most of every opportunity’ through summer camps and outreach events for children, youth, and adults who are looking for peace in their hearts, even when the storms of life whirl around them. Pray that the Lord will draw multitudes to His throne of grace, transforming lives for eternity and laying a foundation of new hope for the future in the Kharkov region of Ukraine.”
