"I will praise You, Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.” (Psalm 57:9, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Didier Burkhalter of Switzerland (central Europe).

KANO KATSINA FULBE OF NIGERIA (KAH-no kat-SEE-nah FUL-bay) - “Sometimes things just don’t make sense, and you ask God, ‘Why is this happening?’ Some of our fellowships of believers have suffered much persecution in recent months. These believers have been the brunt of violence, and many have been blamed, beaten or killed for any problems that have occurred, whether religious, ethnic or criminal. The deaths alone from this violence have topped 100. Many have become refugees, having lost their homes and all they possess. Others have lost family members or have become widows and orphans with no place to go. Many atrocities and tragedies have occurred. We have been blessed to get emergency relief funds from Baptist Global Response and also from others. These funds have helped to relocate many, to feed the hungry, and to care for those who are injured, but the needs are still great. Please pray for healing to take place among those left behind as widows and orphans, and pray for provision for those who have lost homes and family members.”

NORTHERN THAI/KHON MUANG OF THAILAND (cone MOO-ung) - “Northern Thai businessmen are people of influence who create change and respond quickly to beneficial, effective and strategic ideas,” writes the Northern Thai Team. “While working with this group to bring excellence and integrity into the business community, we encourage relationships with Thai Christian businessmen. Pray that a Christian economics professor will be invited to speak to this group and that he will challenge them with the truth of the Gospel. Pray also that the Thai Christian Businessmen’s Association (TCBA) will look for ways to be a witness to their community. The TCBA in a neighboring province did an excellent job of bringing the Christian community together for a viewing of the new movie ‘Noah.’ The room was completely full of Christians and their friends. Before the movie, they showed an evangelistic testimony and then reviewed the biblical account of Noah so that viewers would be aware of discrepancies. Everyone left with a CD that uses the Flood stories from other cultures as bridges to the Gospel. Pray that TCBA groups, and all Christian groups, will be engaged in Great Commission activities. ‘Pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields’ (Matthew 9:38, NLT).”
