| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST May 22, 2014 “Give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!” (Psalm 105:1) WORLD LEADER - Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Hassan Sheikh Mahamud of Somalia (eastern Africa). LAST FRONTIER - A brand-new gathering that is only a month old is continuing to expand and reach out to those related to members of a Last Frontier people group who are living abroad. Give thanks to God for the leader of this gathering, who is working diligently among this large segment of people. Workers are grateful to partner with him and are excited to see good progress being made each week as they meet together to reach out in the community! Pray for those who attend the weekly gathering to keep inviting new friends to come, and ask that the many after-school programs that have been started will help in cultivating good relationships with adults and students alike, so that the Good News can heard, experienced and received! UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS OF COLOMBIA - Last year, two Baptist churches in Medellin received training in how to reach out to the indigenous peoples in the area. Two young men, Aldo* and Miquel*, are actively putting into practice what they learned and are sharing Bible stories with various indigenous groups. In April, they hosted a luncheon with the help of Wilson*, an EC indigenous man, at which members of the W, EB and EC indigenous communities were present. Wilson has agreed to help them share with other EC indigenous people. Thank God for the faithfulness of Aldo and Miquel to share the Truth with indigenous communities! Pray for Wilson and other indigenous people who are sharing the Gospel with others, asking that God will pave the way, both financially and logistically, and will fill them with a clear knowledge of Him and the ability to share Truth with others.
