| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST May 28, 2014 "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them from all their troubles.” (Psalm 34:17) WORLD LEADER - Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan (northeastern Africa) MAASAI OF TANZANIA (MAH-sigh) - Pray for the leadership of the Abernathy Baptist Primary School in Longido, Tanzania, as they seek an administrator who will assist the school in moving forward in reaching the Maasai children. This person needs to be a godly individual, one who will be willing to work at a lower pay scale than their degree would warrant, someone with vision and leadership/manager abilities. RUMELIAN TURKS OF THE BALKANS (ru-ME-lee-an) - “This past October, we could hardly believe it when Nelly* and Bob* were introduced to us as our Turkish language partners at a Turkish cultural center in the United States. They were both originally from Bulgaria! After living in Turkey, and then moving to the U.S. to study and work, Bob and Nelly were expecting their first child, a girl--or so they thought! They now have a 3-month-old son! Please pray for Nelly and Bob and us as we continue to meet with them, asking that we will be bold in our witness and that their hearts will be opened to Isa (Jesus).” (*pseudonyms) For additional prayer requests, click here: Today’s Prayer (If you have difficulty with this link, please go to www.imb.org and click on the “Pray” tab, and then click on the “Today’s Prayer” link in the left-hand column.) |
