Workers live trapped behind locked doors The girls leave their homelands for the Gulf countries — many having never set foot on a plane — in hopes of earning money as domestic workers to send home to provide for their impoverished families. But instead of finding hope, what many find is virtually a prison.  Missionaries share tales of darkness, sacrifice and new life IMB honored 33 recently retired missionaries at an emeritus recognition service, May 3, near Richmond, Va. Dozens gathered to listen to memories and lessons learned from the missionaries, many of whom had spent more than three decades on the field. Combined, their years of service total 863.
