"I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me and heard my cry for help.” (Psalm 40:1)

WORLD LEADER - Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for King Juan Carlos of Spain (southwestern Europe).

RURAL PEOPLE OF EAST ASIA - During summer English camps, the Gospel is presented to middle and high school students during culture studies. Please pray that hearts will be open to the truth. Many participants in these camps come from unreached people groups. Pray that many will believe and be bold in sharing the truth with their people.

RUSSIA - “Sochi and the Winter Games is by far one of the most prayed-for events in which I have ever participated,” WMU International Initiatives Team Leader Andrea Mullins told an IMB colleague. Understandably, there was a lot of negative press prior to the Games, but despite the negativism, God’s people rallied together in prayer. Being a faithful heavenly Father, He heard and answered those prayers. He gave the 220 Southern Baptist volunteers and local Baptists opportunities to participate in massive seed sowing. Approximately 17,000 pins that included a Gospel message were given out all across the Sochi region during the Winter Games. More than 350 individuals provided contact information, allowing opportunities for follow-up, and five prayed to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. Seventy percent of the contacts were from Sochi, and many of these contacts expressed an interest in strengthening their English skills. Please pray for an English camp to be made available, and ask that these Gospel seeds will grow to fruition. Praise the Lord for all that He did before and during the Games in Sochi and for what He is doing after the Games. Pray for the new “Check out the Bible” Group, and ask for more individuals to choose to follow Christ through outreach endeavors in Sochi and across Russia. Pray for the couple serving there to experience an afterglow, with receptive hearts residing in that region.
