"Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.” (John 16:24b)

WORLD LEADER - Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Mahinda Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka (island off southeastern coast of India).

HIJAZI SAUDI ARABS OF SAUDI ARABIA (hi-JAH-zee) - Saudi Arabia has passed a new terrorism law that will treat non-believers in Islam as enemies of the state. According to Yahoo News Networks online, this includes “atheist thought in any form, or calling into question the fundamentals of the Islamic religion on which this country is based.” This has serious ramifications for those professing or considering the claims of Jesus, as they can now be tried and convicted of terrorism, and Saudi Arabia’s laws on terrorism are very tough. Pray for those who want to follow Jesus but are afraid to do so.

SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN UNENGAGED PEOPLES - “The evangelical pastor, thrilled to have Christian visitors, welcomed us with unusual warmth. His ministry in western Benin, right on the border with Togo, was difficult. He had counted more than 100 mosques in the town in which he lived. ‘And this does not include all the prayer locations under the trees,’ he said. We asked him specifically about the 24,000 Muslim Foodo people in his region. He shared, ‘They are difficult to reach. They will show up at my house after dark to ask for prayer, but they won’t turn to Christ. One crazy man, though, would hang around the church. I prayed over him, God delivered him, and he gave his life to Christ. Now he comes to church.’ Pray that thousands more Foodo people will have ‘God encounters’ and surrender to Christ. Ask God to place a great burden on the hearts of people to engage the Foodo people with the Gospel!”
