“LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their hearts. You will listen carefully.” (Psalm 10:17)

WORLD LEADER - Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi of Samoa (southwestern Pacific Ocean, between Hawaii and New Zealand.

KENYA. Please pray for a sense of peace and safety for our workers in Kenya. Two recent bombs attacks have added to the security threats that seem to be aimed at police and highly populated areas such as malls and bus stations, as well as Westerners and churches. The ongoing travel alerts, and reports of unrest and high corruption, takes a toll on those serving the Lord. Last year’s terrorist attack on Westgate mall still has many unanswered questions. In light of this, please pray that God’s servants will remain vigilant, that His hand of protection will be over them, and that He will fill them with peace and renewed zeal to see those who have never heard come to Him.

BAPTIST CONVENTIONS OF THE CENTRAL SAHEL (WEST AFRICA) - You were a part of praying for the Togo Baptist Convention’s 26th annual meeting that took place the first week of April, and God is at work! Thank Him that the convention leaders have “caught the vision” to reach the unengaged, unreached people groups (UUPGs) of their country. In May, they will commence their first annual missions offering, which will be used specifically to reach the unengaged. Their desire is to plant 70 churches a year. When the poster-sized maps of Togo delineating the geographical location of Togo’s people groups were distributed, people were so eager to receive them that there was nearly a riot! Pray that as these maps are hung in Togo’s Baptist churches, God will lay a heavy burden on the hearts of the people to pray for unengaged and unreached peoples and then go and share Christ with them!

PALESTINIAN ARABS OF THE MIDDLE EAST (pal-uh-STIN-ee-uhn) - God’s Word is powerful and speaks deeply into the hearts of people. Believers have seen the effectiveness of telling stories, sharing Scriptures, and encouraging Palestinians to spend personal time in God’s Word. Recently some believers were given a number of New Testament mp3 players to share with Palestinians. These devices are most helpful for people who don’t have literacy or an inclination to read a book. The Lord has quickly given opportunities to purposefully share this form of Scripture and to engage in spiritual conversations. Praise the Lord for technology that will reach all kinds of people with the Word of God! Pray that the New Testament mp3 players will be placed with people who have open hearts and who are searching for Truth. Ask the Holy Spirit to use this form of the Bible to draw many Palestinian Arabs to know and follow Jesus.
