Please pray today for Prime Minister Jeong Hongwon of South Korea (eastern Asia). SOUTH KOREA - Korea Baptist Theological University/Seminary was founded as the Baptist Bible Institute in 1953 and established as a four-year university in 1972. It has produced more than 10,000 graduates who play a key role in the Korean Christian Community, as well as approximately 800 missionaries who share the Gospel and live out their Christian faith in many different countries around the world. This May, KBTUS will celebrate its 60th anniversary. Pray that God will strengthen the vision and work of this school to impact lostness globally and to prepare laborers for the harvest fields. SRI LANKA - “‘All the gods are good and lead us to the same place.’ These are words we repeatedly hear from Sri Lankan Hindus. A young woman threads her way among the many shrines at a local Hindu temple. She has been seeking the favor of the gods for seven years, hoping they will open the doors for a suitable marriage. Because her horoscope is bad, her family has forbidden her to marry, fearing that she will be harmed. When approached with the story of Jesus, she responds that she believes in Jesus too. She tells of a time when she was 8 years old and had a life-threatening condition that no one could cure. A Christian came and prayed for her in the name of Jesus, and she was healed. Yet Jesus is lost amid her array of gods.
