"I called to the LORD in my distress, and I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached His ears.” (Psalm 18:6)

WORLD LEADER - Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Gabriel Arcanjo Ferreira Da Costa of Sao Tome and Principe (Gulf of Guinea, western Africa).

BELGIAN NATIONALS OF BELGIUM - Flowers? Candy? Dinner in a restaurant? How do you celebrate Mother’s Day? A year ago, “Journey Church” hosted their neighbors for a Mother’s Day brunch, which was attended by a family of three with no church affiliation. This family has since remained active in worship and Bible study with the church, and will help with this year’s Mother’s Day brunch. They are very close to joining the kingdom. Will you petition the Father for this family? Will you ask Him to bring others from the neighborhood to this year’s Mother’s Day brunch? Pray for the believing mothers who will share their testimonies at this brunch, asking that God will be glorified in what they share. Families and singles all need the love that the Father first gave us. “We love Him because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19, NKJV).

SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN PEOPLES - There is a growing group of young radical activists who are sympathetic to the cause of those who follow a world religion. This past month alone has brought reports of evangelists being beaten for their belief in Christ alone, of churches being knocked down, and most recently of a church being attacked by radicals, with several church members losing their lives. Please pray for our personnel, asking that God will encourage them in the work that He has called them to do. Pray that He will give them boldness in sharing His Word and wisdom as they minister and encourage those who have faced persecution because of their faith.
