“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Interim President Catherine Samba-Panza of Central African Republic (central Africa, north of Democratic Republic of the Congo).

LAST FRONTIER - Workers serving among a Last Frontier people group write: “Over the past couple of months, our team has received some opposition in relation to our work here, mainly concerning the issuing of visas. Now we must rewrite a document that involves working with other government agencies that have not been friendly towards us in the past, all the while hoping that the visa-issuing office will approve the document, grant us one-year visas like they have in the past, and most importantly, continue to allow us to work here. Through this, we have been reminded of the need to make every day count and to use our time wisely. Would you pray with us for more hearts to be open to the Truth and for us to be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading so we can find them? Would you pray for us to use resources wisely and to spend our time wisely, making the most of each day He gives us here? Would you pray that this trial will cause us to pray more and to become more like Him? We are eager to see what He does to refine us and use us in this situation!”

SUSU OF GUINEA (SOO-soo) - Pedro* and Lily* recently met a woman from a village about 10 miles away from their home. She is currently caring for her nephews, who are 7-month-old twin boys. Their mother died in childbirth. In general, the outlook for motherless children is very grim, because families cannot afford baby formula. Often the babies are given watered-down sweetened condensed milk, because it is readily available and cheaper than powdered milk. These boys were very malnourished. Pedro and Lily were able to give them some formula and baby cereal, as well as some baby clothes. They plan to visit the family in that village, and would like to go there regularly to take baby formula and share Bible stories. Please pray that God will use this opportunity to open the door to this village to the Gospel. The family lives very close to the village chief’s house. Pray that Pedro and Lily will find favor with him, and will be welcomed to share there on a regular basis. Pray for the health of these two young boys. (*names changed)
