"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19a, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Henry Puna of Cook Islands (South Pacific Ocean, about one-half way from Hawaii to New Zealand).

DAKAR, SENEGAL (dah-KAR) - She is a grandmother and sells millet at the entrance to the military camp. Sallie* was Muslim and also had a demon for six years. She sought help from numerous “marabouts” (religious leaders), but to no avail. When someone told her that maybe people at the evangelical church could help, she went to them. They prayed for Sallie; the demon left, and Sallie gave her life to Jesus. Then Sallie’s husband abandoned her, and almost everyone she knew turned against her. But her faith is strong. Sallie can’t read, so she listens to Bible stories on a solar-powered audio player. She is thrilled at all she is learning. Pray for Sallie, asking that God will use her to reach others for Jesus. Pray for her family and friends, asking that they will come to know what Sallie knows and, like her, follow Jesus. (*name changed)

NU OF COLOMBIA (noo) - In June, national missionaries John* and Lia* traveled with their family to the Nu villages far from where they live. They were disappointed to discover that there was no one in the village of C, where they had hoped to spend the next month. They decided to go on to the second village, K, to spend time with the new believers there. While in the village of K, they reviewed the Gospel stories and two young men made decisions for Christ. Lia and John began to share the stories from the Book of Acts, and the Nu people were very excited to begin to learn about the lives of the new believers and the church in Acts. Praise God that believers in this village are sharing the Gospel stories with Nu people in other villages! Pray as a strategy is built upon the desire of this group to share God’s story with others.
