| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST September 29, 2014 “Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I will pray.” (Psalm 5:1-2, NKJV) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Luis Guillermo Solis Rivera of Costa Rica (Central America). LAST FRONTIER - Over the past four months, workers have trained several people to share Truth using Bible stories. They have met with them regularly to encourage them and allow them to practice what they have learned. Now, as the training is coming to an end, they ask you to pray for the trainees as they begin reaching out to their family, friends and co-workers to start new, reproducible groups among the population segment of a Last Frontier people group living in their city. Pray that God’s light that they carry within them will light up the darkness around them and lead them to others who are waiting to hear and receive His Truth (2 Corinthians 4:5-6). QIZILBASH-AFSHARI OF AFGHANISTAN (KIH-zil-bahsh ahf-shah-REE) - Day by day, the Lord is granting His children access to the Qizilbash-Afshari people. They live with veiled eyes, in constant fear not only of the physical present, but more importantly, of death. Ask a Qizilbash-Afshari, and he will tell you that his fear lies in the fact that he knows not if he will be granted access to heaven or if he will be sent to hell after death. They also have a wrong concept of sin, believing that humanity is good and can indeed work their way to perfection, thus gaining access to life. Pray that they will see their true state of sinfulness and understand that they are helpless to change on their own, and thus discover their need for a Savior. They first must see their need before the Truth can be understood.
