| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST September 17, 2014 “All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:29-30, HCSB) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Kalzeubet Pahimi Deubet.of Chad (western Africa). DECCANI MUSLIMS OF INDIA (deh-KAH-nee) - Pray for Mr. Tamboli and Mr. Shaikh. They both have families, and both came to Christ during the past two years in the Deccan. Their last names happen to be the names of two major Muslim people groups in the Deccan of India. They also have something else in common: Their extended families do not appear to be interested in Christ. Both of these men attended meetings in June and July sponsored by local churches that want to reach into their Muslim communities with the Gospel. Pray for Mr. Tamboli and Mr. Shaikh to have a hunger and thirst for God that will drive them to study and obey God’s Word. Pray that they will not settle for anything less than faithfully abiding in Christ and obeying what they come to understand. Ask for them to have an awareness of people being far from God that will affect how they interact with others in their communities. Pray that God will open the eyes of their families to the reality of the Gospel. SOUTH KOREA - On September 19 through October 4, the largest sporting event in Asia, the XVII Asiad, will be held in Incheon, South Korea. With 439 events featured in 36 sports, more than 13,000 athletes and officials, along with 7,000 media people, will flood into Korea. A staff of approximately 30,000 will operate this event. Many believers will be actively seeking opportunities to engage visitors and participants during these 2014 Asian Games. Pray that the Spirit will orchestrate encounters during breaks and meals. Ask that He will provide logistical help for the Good News to be shared clearly with thousands of people, and pray that people will respond to Jesus.
