| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST September 25, 2014 “Know that the LORD has set apart the faithful for Himself; the LORD will hear when I call to Him.” (Psalm 4:3, HCSV) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Denis Sassou-Nguesso of Republic of the Congo (western Africa, north of Angola). BEDOUIN OF NORTHERN AFRICA (BEH-doo-in) - In June, you were asked to pray for Mr. Button*, who was experiencing pain that doctors confirmed was not due to a physical ailment. Mr. Button acknowledged, “The real problem is inside me.” Give thanks to God that this Bedouin man is continuing to frequent the home of some believers. Each time he brings at least one friend with him. Recently he and a repeat friend joined the believers for dinner. After the meal, they began asking more and more questions about Jesus, sin, the prophets, and eternal life. Both Mr. Button and his friend were engaged in the conversation and were eagerly seeking to know more. The believers later visited his home and met Mrs. Button. While she did not ask many questions, she did listen intently as her sisters-in-law, who were present, asked many of those same questions. Please continue to lift up this household. They are searching for the One who can heal body, mind and spirit. (*name changed) PEOPLE OF FACTORY BELT, CHINA - Sometimes those who are laboring for the harvest are called to a new field--a field with very few, if any, other believers. The work is hard even when they have their believing friends around them, and when they are called to a new field, it can become even harder. You can imagine the toll that such a move takes on a family, on a marriage, or on a single person. Not too long ago, a believing couple was reunited with some of their old friends who are going through difficulties. They were saddened to hear of their friends’ struggles but were reminded of the importance of prayer. Please join them in lifting up their friends as they settle down to work in a new field--a field with very few other believers. Ask the Lord of the harvest to provide others to work alongside them, and to protect their marriage and family. Pray that their children will develop meaningful relationships.
