| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST September 5, 2014 “What man among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:9-11, HCSB) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Luc-Adolphe Tiao of Burkina Faso (western Africa, north of Ghana). AFGHANISTAN - Pray for Afghan believers who are being persecuted. Pray that by the strength of the Holy Spirit, they will stand strong. Pray for those who are being mocked and beaten by their families, asking that they will have boldness and not be crushed under the weight of distress. Pray that the Lord Jesus will minister to these and that they will be strengthened to endure the attacks. Pray that they will be assured that they are standing for Truth. MARSEILLE, FRANCE (mar-SAY) - “We, as a team, are in the midst of planting a church in our neighborhood,” writes a member of Team Marseille. “We have a core group of people coming to our meetings (Brunch and Bible) but few, if any, of those who attend are actually believers. This month, we are going to start looking at what it means to be a Christian.
