Airstrikes worsen Syria refugee crisis
Airstrikes in northern Syria against ISIS will worsen the refugee crisis, a Christian worker in the Middle East says. Just hours before news of the airstrikes broke, SBC President Ronnie Floyd called on Southern Baptists to pray for beleaguered Christians in Iraq and Syria, where “we are witnessing a once-in-a-thousand-year destruction of the Christian church.” Floyd implores Christian leaders not to let the world ignore this international crisis.

VIDEO: 'Needs in the nations’

IMB President David Platt urges believers to show God’s grace amidst the crises in our world by giving through Baptist Global Response. “We’ve got opportunities to step up on behalf of those who are in need to help in strategic ways through avenues like BGR, and in the process know that we are fueling a much bigger picture of meeting people’s greatest need,” Platt says.
