| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST October 6, 2014 “I must proclaim the good news about the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this purpose.” (Luke 4:43, HCSB) WORLD LEADERS - "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence" (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobatka Czech Republic (central Europe, southeast of Germany). CENTRAL THAI OF THAILAND (tie) - “On October 7-8, mobile medical clinics from Bangkla Christian Clinic will, for the second year in a row, enter Kampaeng Phet (‘Diamond Wall’) province,” writes the Central Thai Team. “Clinics will be held in two locations, along with English teaching in the local school, and expectations are high! Last year the clinic saw more than 400 patients in one day. Seven of those patients asked Christ into their hearts, and several others expressed an interest in studying further. This year our expectations are the same; however, this time we will spend two days in clinics. Following a week of English camps in the area in June, the local house church saw an increase in ministry to approximately 20 children and students. Kampaeng Phet province is a stronghold of Buddhism in the very heart of Thailand. The soil is hard, and seeds of the Gospel get swallowed up quickly. Please pray that eyes and hearts will be open to the truth of Jesus Christ and that people will be truly saved. Pray for local believers as they follow up after the clinic, and pray for the volunteer team from Arizona who will come to assist with the clinics and English teaching. Also, please lift up Pastor Que* as he leads his church while also beginning his new life as a pastor, new husband and new father!” (*name changed) SENUFO SUPYIRE OF MALI (SIN-oo-fo su-PEER-ay) - It’s harvest time again! Throughout the month of October, Senufo people across southeastern Mali will begin to harvest their corn, millet, rice, beans and cotton. There is a delicate balance of rain needed to ensure that everything is at its peak for picking and that it’s not damaged by too much water. Since almost everything is still harvested by hand and hauled using donkey carts, it is a busy and exhausting time for most families, as they try to get all their crops harvested at just the right time--not too early and not too late. This year’s rains were slow in coming, and many people had to replant some of their fields, which means that they could lose money when all is said and done. It is always a struggle to have enough food or a cash crop to provide for their families, let alone pay back any debt for seeds, fertilizer or equipment use. Please pray that God will allow for a plentiful harvest this year for the Senufo Supyire people. Ask that these farmers will see the bounty as provision from the Lord and give Him alone the praise for allowing their families to find fruit from their labor. And please pray that the Lord of the harvest will continue to draw Senufo Supyire people to repentance and faith in the one and only Savior, Jesus Christ.
