Heroes and ghosts
Photographer Joseph Rose recently covered the crisis in northern Iraq and shares the impact it had on him through a series of photos and video clips. “It’s kind of like a gallery of images in my mind – a gallery of heroes and ghosts,” Rose says. He prays God will use these images and stories “to stick in people’s minds … to haunt them into action – into prayer for these people, into giving toward this crisis and into even going.”

Scarf ministry helps meet needs of Southeast Asian women
For many workers serving overseas, extensive poverty and physical needs tear at heartstrings each day. An idea that was meant simply to meet physical needs came to be something much bigger as a small sewing group evolved into a life-changing Bible study in Southeast Asia.

Pastor renews passion for reaching European people group
Through a program called Partners in Embrace (PiE), a Texas pastor is leading his church to take the Gospel to one of Europe’s unengaged, unreached people groups. “This is more than an opportunity to do missions,” said Keeney Dickenson, pastor of First Baptist Church in Crockett. “This is an opportunity to reawaken in us what true ministry really is, what evangelism is really about and what it should be.”
