“LORD, hear my voice when I call; be gracious to me and answer me.” (Psalm 27:7, HCSB)

WORLD LEADERS - "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence" (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for President Abdelfattah Said Elsisi of Egypt (northeastern Africa).

NEW LABORERS FOR THE HARVEST - What a celebration of God’s sovereignty! Thank you for praying for the August 27 Appointment Service. It not only marked a turning point in the lives of the 50 who were appointed, but also in the history of IMB as the new president, David Platt, was welcomed and affirmed. Pray with us that the actions of August 27, 2014, will indeed be a marker of great advancement in the work of God’s kingdom.

WASSULU OF MALI, GUINEA AND COTE D’IVOIRE (WAH-soo-loo) - “Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds” (Psalm 57:8-10). In August, you were encouraged to pray for volunteers and mission personnel who were developing relationships with West Africans in New York City. Not only were they able to meet and minister to a number of West Africans, but the specific prayer request for new Wassulu stateside contacts did not go unanswered! In the very hotel where the team was staying, the concierge was Wassulu, and he has already laid the foundation for a visit to his Wassulu village later this fall. Rejoice and give thanks for how God answered this prayer for His purposes!
