| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST October 20, 2014 "Therefore let everyone who is faithful pray to You at a time that You may be found.” (Psalm 32:6a, HCSB) WORLD LEADERS - "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence" (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for President Isaias Afworki of Eritrea (eastern Africa, between Djibouti and Sudan). HADRAMAUT YEMENI ARABS OF YEMEN (HAH-drah-maht YEH-muh-nee) - Sitting down to a tasty lunch of camel meat was a new experience for the visitors. Yes, camels are a staple in the Hadramaut Yemeni Arab diet, as is warm, frothy camel milk. Camels also carry goods in the barren and sandy Empty Quarter of the Hadramaut, although the small pick-up truck from Japan has become a more popular mode of transportation in that desert! Men and boys take care of the camels, knowing where in the desert to feed and water them. Have these men heard the Gospel? Have they ever heard stories from the Bible? Please pray that the camel herders will hear the Good News and take it to their families. Pray for the salvation of the people in the Hadramaut. SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN UNENGAGED PEOPLES - Since the war in South Sudan began last December, thousands of South Sudanese have fled to the refugee camps of northern Uganda. Many of the tribes represented in these camps are classified as “unreached people groups.” There are small churches in Adjumani, Uganda, that are ministering in these camps. There are also national Christians who have come to live and serve in these camps. Please pray for churches in the United States to come alongside these churches and the dedicated families who live in the camps to help engage these South Sudanese with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us again. You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many” (2 Corinthians 1:10-11).
